Drawing Nature With Skill & Style


Fire up your drawing skills this fall at Connecticut Natural Science Illustrators, located at the Yale Peabody Museum Community Education Center in Orange, CT. They offer a wide range of courses from Beginning Drawing to Oil Painting , Botanical Watercolor, and Drawing Flowers through the Microscope. And faculty from Connecticut Natural Science Illustrators, (Susannah Graedel, Linda Miller, Dorie Petrochko and Jan Prentice) will be displaying their works, inspired by nature at the Essex Meadows Gallery in Essex, CT from August 28- October 25 in a show called A Brush with Nature. The works range in media from graphite to pen and ink, watercolor, and oil.

The exhibit will be dedicated to two artists: Cindy Gilbane, a CTNSI faculty member, who passed away in May, 2015, and Grace Sloan, a long time resident of Essex Meadows who passed away in February of 2015. The opening reception is August 28 from 5-6 pm. For further information:, 203-695-1215.
