Audubon Arts Crawl

The Arts Council of Greater New Haven hosts the first Audubon Arts Crawl on June 26, 5-8pm. The event presents various art events including receptions, installations, POP UP exhibitions, music and more at several venues in the New Haven art district.

International Festival of Arts & Ideas 

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas is a 15-day festival of performing arts, lectures, and conversations that celebrates the greatest artists and thinkers from around the world. Each June, the Festival takes over the theaters, open spaces, and courtyards of New Haven, Connecticut, attracting an attendance of more than 100,000 to its events, of which more than 80% of are completely free to the public.

The String Quartet Truck 

In conjunction with the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, the Haven String Quartet brings classical music to the streets of New Haven with the String Quartet Truck, June 14-19 at 12pm.


The first Friday events in the historic 9th square district of New Haven returns with CreateOn9 featuring Elm Shakespeare’s I Am Shakespeare event that allows locals to recite popular Shakespeare lines with professional actors. Mayor Toni Harp joined the fun recently playing Juliet in the Elm Shakespeare promotional video.
